The Whitman Firefighters website will be undergoing some changes coming very soon, including new photos, layout and Whitman Fire Live (a live scanner feed of Whitman Fire's frequency). The changes are in the works now. If you have any ideas on what you would like to see on our site please email us.

We will be holding another television fundraiser raffle where the grand prize will be a large screen plasma television, second prize is an outdoor grill and third prize will be $100 cash. Specific details on the prizes and information on getting tickets will be up shortly. The tentative drawing date will be sometime in June. We are also working on a meat raffle fundraiser to be held sometime prior to the raffle of the TV. More details to come soon!

Whitman Firefighters Local #1769 would like to thank Jamie's Grille & Pub in Whitman for their help with our "Shamrock Party" for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. We raised over $500 during our party and during the month of March, selling "Shamrocks for Jerry's Kids". Whitman Firefighters L1769 is the first and only fire department in Massachusetts collecting donations for MDA online!

Six members of L1769 have been participating in the first annual "First Responder Challenge" held by Cynergy Training. Lieutenant Timothy Grenno and firefighters John Norton, Josef Kenealy, Mike MacCurtain, Tom Ford and Pat Travers have been competing for the past three months against the Duxbury Fire, Marshfield Fire and Rockland Police Departments.
